Home to the largest marine industry in Australia, the Australian Marine Complex has established international credentials for the repair, maintenance and construction of naval and commercial vessels, as well as infrastructure for the fabrication and assembly of offshore oil and gas modules. The complex has a deepwater port, world-class multi-user load out and fabrication facilities, and high-wide load road access.

The WA Innovation website has been established to showcase Western Australian innovation and promote the importance of innovation to the State. Our need to be innovative has allowed us to create potential business opportunities. Whether the innovation is a product or a process simply doesn’t matter. Ultimately, others may be able to benefit from these innovative ideas too. That is where our website can help.

Technology Park has strategic links with interstate and international Parks and actively facilitates joint project collaboration opportunities for Park tenants. It is the founding member of Technology Parks and Incubators Australia Ltd (www.tpia.org.au) and a member of the International Association of Science Parks (www.iasp.ws). 

The Inventor of the Year Award is back in 2007. Innovation and creativity are key drivers of the global economy and the State Government recognises that they are vital to ensuring continued economic growth and diversification in WA, beyond the current resources boom. The Inventor of the Year Award aims to promote and enhance a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in our State.
